Transit (Gochara) = real-time planetary position relative to the natal chart. Every planet transits continuously through the zodiac, re-triggering natal placements and house cusps.
KP uses transits as the final trigger:
Transiting Significator: The promised event's significator planet (e.g., Venus for marriage) transits the relevant house or aspect point. Transit aspect in KP uses classical Parashara aspects (Mars 4 and 8, Jupiter 5 and 9), not rashi drishti.
Transiting Moon: The Moon transits every sign in 27 days, making it the fastest indicator. When transiting Moon enters the sign of the event's significator or the sign of the relevant house lord, activation occurs. Moon in its own sign (Cancer) or exalted sign (Taurus) enhances activation.
Transiting Dasha Lord: In Vimshottari, each planet's mahadasha is subdivided into antardasha periods ruled by other planets. When the antardasha lord transits the significator's sign or the relevant house cusp, the event is triggered.
Layering: A marriage event promised by Venus occurs when (a) Venus Mahadasha is active, (b) within it, a favorably-timed antardasha is running, (c) transiting Moon enters the 7th house or Venus's sign, (d) Venus itself transits the 7th or aspects it via classical drishti. When all four align, marriage is imminent (within days/weeks).
The timing funnel: Broad window (Venus Mahadasha, ~20 years) → Narrower (Venus Mahadasha + favorable antardasha, ~months) → Narrow (Moon + transit activation, ~weeks) → Precise (conjunction or aspect activation, ~days).
