KP adds a layer of precision to Parashara's dasha interpretation. Instead of "Marriage will happen in Venus Dasha" (a 20-year window), KP narrows it to a specific month or week.
Three requirements for event manifestation (all three must align):
1. Significator's Dasha: The planet that promises the event (from natal chart 4-step significator analysis) must be running its mahadasha (main dasha). Example: Venus promises marriage (as 7th cuspal sub-lord); event occurs during Venus Mahadasha.
2. Significator's Transit: The significator planet must transit a house or sign relevant to the event. For marriage, Venus (or its dasha lord) should transit the 7th house, Lagna, or the native's Moon sign during the event window.
3. Dasha Sub-Period (Antardasha) + Moon's Position: Within the significator's mahadasha, the event happens during a sub-period (antardasha) whose lord is benefic or neutral, AND the transiting Moon is in a sign owned or aspected (rashi drishti) by the significator.
Synthesis: Marriage promised by Venus (7th cuspal sub-lord) occurs when: (a) Venus Mahadasha is running, (b) Venus transits the 7th or 1st, (c) an antardasha of a benefic planet is operating, and (d) the Moon is in a sign ruled by Venus or a friendly planet.
Timing window: The event occurs in the narrowest window where all three overlap. This often yields a 1-4 week window instead of a 1-year window (as Parashara alone would give).
The promise engine computes these three factors and identifies event windows. You will examine a promised event (e.g., new job, child birth) and narrow the timing from the broad dasha period to a specific week using the three-factor method.
