Career judgment requires tracking status, role, income, and timing:
- Parashara: Lord of the 10th in D-1 and D-10 Dashamsha determines status, government patronage, and executive authority.
- Jaimini: Amatyakaraka (AmK) placement relative to Atmakaraka (AK) and Arudha Lagna (AL) determines public vocational reputation.
- KP: 10th Cuspal Sub-Lord must signify houses 2 (wealth), 6 (daily work/service), 10 (status), and 11 (gain). If it connects to 5, 8, 12, career changes or volatility occur.
- Bhrigu Nadi: Saturn (Karmakara) and its trinal directional connections (1-5-9) identify the exact functional industry.
Career: A Four-System Audit
Career is the best subject for a comparative audit, because all four systems have something specific to say about it and the outcome is observable. Work through the four in order, write down each verdict before consulting the next, and only then compare. Consulting them in parallel invites you to read the later systems in light of the first.
- Parashara: 10th house, its lord, planets in the 10th, and the D10 dashamsha for professional detail.
- Jaimini: Amatyakaraka, the karaka of career and counsel, together with its Karakamsha placement.
- KP: the 10th cuspal sub-lord, which decides whether professional advancement is promised at all.
- BNN: Saturn and Sun degree contacts, read by progression for the timing of transitions.
Step one: the Parashara picture
Establish the 10th house, its lord and its occupants. Then check the D10, remembering that vargas use whole-sign houses counted from the varga lagna, not equal houses from the rasi ascendant. A 10th lord strong in the rasi but scattered in the D10 describes someone whose career looks better from outside than it feels from inside.
Step two: the Jaimini overlay
Identify the Amatyakaraka by degree. Where it sits, and what aspects it by rashi drishti, describes the character of the working life rather than its external rank. An Amatyakaraka connected to the Atmakaraka indicates work that carries the soul's own agenda, which usually reads as vocation rather than employment.
Step three: the KP verdict
Find the 10th cuspal sub-lord and establish whether it signifies the houses that support career gain. This step is binary in a way the others are not: if the cuspal sub-lord denies the matter, KP holds that no dasha and no transit will deliver it. Record that verdict plainly before moving on.
Step four: Bhrigu Nadi timing
Take the degrees of Sun and Saturn and progress Jupiter forward at roughly a degree a year. Contacts mark the years when career matters come to a head. Treat these as windows, not dates, and remember the accuracy caveats that apply to the whole Nadi method.
Reading the result.
Suppose Parashara, Jaimini and KP all support professional rise, while BNN alone dissents. Report the rise with confidence and note the dissent as a caveat, perhaps as a period of friction within a broadly favourable arc. Do not suppress the dissenting system to make the answer tidier, and do not let it override three converging ones.
