Jamakol answers questions, not chart-wide summaries
The system is at its best on a definite question with a stated subject and, ideally, a stated period. "Will this transfer come through before March" is a Jamakol question. "Tell me about my career" is not — there is no single matter for Udhayam to represent. Before casting, write the question in one sentence and name the subject.

Our Prasnam Setup screen asks for the category because classification selects the relevant bhavas and karakas, and the Kavippu rules are then tested against those. Get the category wrong and you will get a technically correct reading of the wrong question.
Timing: the approaching Jama planet
Jamakol's answer to "when should I do this" is direct: look at the Jama planet approaching Udhayam, and act in its period. Each planet carries its own class of activity.

Two readings that matter in practice: Saturn is delay rather than refusal, so a Saturn-approaching cast on a slow-moving matter is often a scheduling answer rather than a no. And a planet that has already crossed Udhayam speaks to the past of the matter rather than its future.
Direction, and finding a lost object
The tradition assigns directions to the planets and reads the nearest approaching Jama planet for the direction of a matter — which is how it handles a lost article or the direction a house faces. Rajvidya implements the session's direction table, led by the nearest approaching Jama planet, and reports it as a direction rather than as a location.
The Aarudam-based colour of dress table belongs to the same family of lost-object techniques. It is descriptive within that context and is not evidence identifying a person; our screens state that limit rather than leaving it implied.
Difficult questions
The later sessions cover questions people actually bring: whether an affliction is present, whether a death was natural or unnatural, weather and large-scale events, marriage muhurta, reunion after separation, new business, construction and loan applications. Two consistent threads run through them. Maandi is weighed heavily wherever survival or harm is in question. And a strong Udhayam is read as protection — in the tradition's own framing, the matter's own vitality matters as much as the afflictions around it.
These are also exactly the questions where a Prashna reading should be handled with care. A tradition that gives a hard no on the seventh house will give it about a spouse's recovery too, and our Palan screen therefore states what the reading does not claim to read alongside its verdict.
Activity timing in Rajvidya
The Activity Timing screen solves the upcoming degree contacts between Udhayam and the Jama planets within the current solar period, pairs each with the activities the tradition assigns to that planet, and stops the forecast at sunset, the next sunrise, or the next 06:00 weekday reset — whichever comes first — because the governing conditions change there. A Kavippu denial stays visible on that screen and takes precedence over any recommendation: the timing screens do not override the verdict engine.
