The Dashboard Layout
Once you've created a birth profile (Kundli), you'll land on your Chart Detail Page. This is Rajvidya's command center for chart analysis. Let's break it down:
Left Sidebar: Navigation Menu
The left sidebar organizes your chart readings by category:
- Core Systems – Parashara (classical), Jaimini, KP, Nadi, Lal Kitab analyses
- Predictive Timing – Dashas (planetary periods), transits, Rashifal horoscopes
- Yogas & Patterns – Auspicious and inauspicious combinations
- Houses & Planets – Detailed per-planet and per-house breakdowns
- Premium Modules (if logged in) – AI Pandit, Vastu, Hastarekha, Numerology
- Reports & Downloads – PDF exports, certificates, image exports
Tip: If the sidebar is collapsed on mobile, tap the menu icon (☰) to expand.
Main Chart Area: The Kundli Visualization
At the top of the page, your birth chart displays as a diamond-shaped grid (the classic Rashi chart or house chart). This shows:
- 12 Houses – Labeled 1–12, each representing a life domain (self, finances, siblings, home, creativity, health, marriage, etc.)
- Zodiac Signs – Around the perimeter (Aries, Taurus, Gemini... through Pisces)
- Planet Glyphs – Astrological symbols representing Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu
- Planetary Placements – Each planet sits in a house/sign combination, showing its influence
Example Reading: If Saturn is in the 10th house of career, Saturn brings structure and hard work to your professional life. If it's debilitated (weak), you may face career delays.
Understanding Your Ascendant (Lagna)
The most important point in your chart is your Ascendant or Lagna (1st house cusp). It represents your core personality and physical appearance. It's determined entirely by your birth time—emphasizing why accuracy matters!
Your Ascendant sign is displayed prominently at the top of your chart and in the 1st house cell.
System Tabs: Choose Your Astrological Branch
Just below the main chart, you'll see tabs for different systems:
- Parashara – Classical Vedic (default for most users)
- Jaimini – Advanced sign-based analysis (if enabled for your account)
- KP – Krishnamurti Paddhati sub-lord predictions (astrologer accounts)
- Lal Kitab – Simplified rapid-prediction system
- Nadi – Long-term lifecycle predictions
Clicking a tab re-renders the chart and descriptions for that system. Most beginners start with Parashara.
Planetary Summaries: Quick Insights
Below the main chart, you'll see a Planetary Summary or Planet Card Layout showing each of the 9 planets with:
- Symbol & Name (e.g., ☉ Sun)
- Sign & House (e.g., Leo in 10th House)
- Dignity – Exalted, Debilitated, or Neutral
- Strength (Shadbala) – Numerical strength rating
- Brief Interpretation – 1–2 sentence summary
Tip: Click any planet card to dive into its full 2000+ word interpretation.
Dasha Section: Your Timing Roadmap
Scroll further to find your Mahadasha Timeline—the grand planetary periods that rule your life in 7–19 year cycles. You'll see:
- Current Mahadasha – Which planet rules NOW (e.g., "Saturn Mahadasha 2015–2032")
- Antardasha Periods – Sub-periods within the current Mahadasha (e.g., "Mercury Antardasha within Saturn, 2024–2026")
- Timeline Visualization – A bar chart showing all Mahadashas from birth to age 120
- Predictions for Each Period – What to expect during Saturn vs Jupiter rulership, etc.
Important: Dasha is THE timing system in Vedic astrology. Your current Dasha explains your life circumstances right now and predicts your next 1–7 years.
Yogas & Special Combinations
Scroll further to find Yogas (auspicious combinations of planets):
- Raj Yogas – Power and success combinations (e.g., Gaja Kesari Yoga: Jupiter in a kendra house from the Moon)
- Parivartana Yoga – Exchange of house rulership (strong for career and relationships)
- Neecha Bhanga Raja Yoga – Debilitated planet combating its weakness to create unexpected success
- Challenging Yogas – Afflictions like Kuja Dosha (Mars in 7th for marriage) or Pitra Dosha (ancestral debt patterns)
Each Yoga has its interpretation, when it activates (dasha), and remedies.
Rashifal & Gochar (Horoscope & Transits)
In the sidebar, click Rashifal to see your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly horoscope. This is based on current planetary transits (Gochar) triggering your natal planets.
Example: Today, transiting Mars is passing over your natal Sun. This activates courage and assertiveness (positive) but also aggression and accidents (risk). Rajvidya forecasts both.
Switching Between Charts (Multiple Profiles)
If you've created multiple birth profiles, switch between them via:
- The Chart Selector Dropdown at the top of the page
- The Profiles List in the left sidebar
Each chart maintains its own readings, saved analyses, and notes.
Exporting & Sharing Your Chart
At the top or bottom of the chart, look for:
- "Download PDF" – Generates a professional PDF with chart image, planets, yogas, and dasha timeline
- "Share Chart" – Creates a read-only link for friends or astrologers (they don't need an account to view)
- "Export Image" – Saves the chart as PNG for WhatsApp or social sharing
Accessing Premium Modules from Your Chart
If you've purchased credits, you can access premium modules directly:
- AI Pandit – Ask your chart questions in natural language
- Vastu Analytics – Audit your home's space energy
- Hastarekha – Palm reading with astrology fusion
- Numerology – Personal number profile
These appear in the left sidebar or at the bottom of your chart page.
