Accessing Settings
Navigate to your profile menu (top-right corner) and select Settings. The Settings page is organized into several tabs.
Chart Display Preferences
Chart Style
Choose how your birth charts are displayed:
- North Indian (Square): Traditional square wheel with houses in cardinal directions
- South Indian (Diamond): Diamond-shaped chart with planets and houses clearly separated
- Western Circular: Round zodiacal wheel with concentric rings for different chart layers
Your preference applies to all charts across the app (birth chart, divisional charts, transits, dasha charts).
Zodiac Reference
Select your preferred house numbering system:
- Vedic (Indian): Starting from Aries (0° to 30°) as the first sign
- Tropical (Western): Starting from the Spring Equinox (Vernal Point)
Ayanamsha Selection
Choose the ayanamsha (precession correction) for your charts:
- Lahiri (Official Indian): Standard for Indian ephemeris and government recognition
- Raman (Alternative): Preferred by many traditional astrologers
- KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati): Used exclusively in KP system calculations
- Fagan/Bradley (Western): Used in Western sidereal astrology
Dasha & Predictive Settings
Primary Dasha System
Select which dasha timeline to display by default:
- Vimshottari (120-year cycle, most common)
- Chara Dasha (sign-based, used in Jaimini)
- Yogini Dasha (27-year cycle, alternative)
- Lal Kitab Dasha (35-year cycle, Lal Kitab system)
Birth Time Rectification
If your exact birth time is unknown, enable "Approximate Birth Time Mode." This:
- Displays house ranges instead of exact cusps
- Warns you about time-sensitive features (marriage timing, health events)
- Offers quick birth time rectification tool access
Language & Localization
App Language
Choose your preferred interface language:
- English
- Hindi
- Tamil
- Telugu
- Kannada
- Bengali
- Gujarati
- Marathi
- Sanskrit (Devanagari)
- Spanish (Español)
- French (Français)
- And 5 additional languages
Report Language
Select the language for generated PDF reports (independent of app UI language).
Nakshatra Names
Display nakshatras (birth stars) in:
- English transliteration (e.g., "Ashwini")
- Sanskrit Devanagari script
- Regional scripts (for Indian language selections)
Notification Preferences
Transit Alerts
Receive notifications when:
- Planets enter new houses (daily/weekly digest)
- Major transits activate your birth chart (Saturnian returns, outer planet stations)
- Personal success windows arrive (per Vimshottari dasha)
Subscription Reminders
Get notified when your:
- PRO subscription is about to expire
- Astrologer tier membership ends
- Credit balance falls below threshold
Privacy & Data Settings
Chart Visibility
Control who can view your charts:
- Private (default): Only you see your charts
- Shared with astrologers: Visible to professional astrologers you hire
- Public profile: Your basic birth info visible on your public astrologer profile (if applicable)
Data Download
Export all your data as JSON (birth charts, articles, saved analyses) or request permanent deletion of your account.
Accessibility Options
Font Size
Adjust UI text size for readability (small, medium, large, extra-large).
Dark Mode
Toggle between light and dark themes for screen comfort.
High Contrast
Enable high-contrast colors for better visibility of charts and text.
Customize Rajvidya to match your astrology practice and personal preferences. These settings sync across all devices and persist indefinitely.
