Your Profile Limit
Each account can store and manage multiple birth charts (profiles). The number you can create depends on your account tier:
- Free User: 10 profiles maximum
- Free Astrologer Tier: 10 profiles + unlimited client profiles (under your practice account)
- PRO Subscriber (12-month): 10 profiles (unlimited client charts if running an astrology practice)
A "profile" is one complete birth chart, stored with name, birth details, and all associated readings.
Creating a New Profile
From Dashboard
- Click + Add New Profile button
- Enter name, birth date, time, and location
- Confirm timezone (Rajvidya auto-detects)
- Optionally add a photo
- Click Save Profile
For Family Members
Add profiles for your spouse, children, parents, or close relatives by entering their birth details. Rajvidya supports:
- Birth date with approximate time (Rajvidya estimates from sunrise if exact time unknown)
- Birth location geocoding (search by city name)
- Historical birth data retrieval (for deceased family members)
For Astrologer Practices
If you're an Astrologer tier member, create client profiles under your practice account. Client profiles:
- Are linked to your account but managed within your client portal
- Can be marked "shared" (client can view their own charts) or "private" (astrologer-only)
- Appear in your client database for batch reporting and archival
Editing a Profile
Allowed Changes
You can edit:
- Profile name
- Photo / Avatar
- Relationship (self, spouse, child, etc.)
- Notes or comments
Locked Fields (Cannot Change)
Once saved, these cannot be changed (to ensure chart integrity):
- Birth date
- Birth time
- Birth location
If birth details are wrong, archive the profile and create a corrected one.
Archiving a Profile
When to Archive
Archive (rather than delete) profiles to:
- Remove outdated or incorrect charts from active view
- Free up slots if you've reached your 10-profile limit
- Keep a record without cluttering your dashboard
How to Archive
- Open the profile card
- Click the ⋯ menu (three dots)
- Select Archive Profile
- Confirm (this is reversible)
Archived Profile Behavior
- Hidden from your main profile list (but visible in "Archived" tab)
- Reports still accessible (won't expire)
- Can be restored to active status anytime
- Does NOT free up a profile slot unless permanently deleted (see next section)
Deleting a Profile
Permanent Deletion
Deleting a profile removes it from both active and archived sections. This:
- Frees up a profile slot (for creating new profiles)
- Permanently removes all stored readings and analyses
- Is NOT reversible
Caution
Download and save important reports before deletion. Rajvidya keeps cloud backups for 30 days but cannot restore individual profiles after deletion.
Profile Organization Tips
Naming Convention
Use clear, descriptive names:
- ✔ "John (Self)", "Sarah (Wife)", "Arjun (Son)"
- ✗ "Chart1", "Test", "Unknown"
Adding Notes
Use the Notes field to record:
- Any birth time uncertainties ("Approximate, might be 30 min earlier")
- Birth location notes ("Hometown, not current residence")
- Special context ("Born during monsoon, exact time not recorded")
Photo/Avatar
Adding a profile photo helps:
- Quickly identify profiles in dashboards
- Distinguish multiple family members visually
Efficiently manage your birth chart collection—delete what you don't need, organize clearly, and leverage Rajvidya's archive feature to keep historical records without clutter.
