How to Use the Prediction Engine

Prediction Engine audits a chart the way an astrologer would by hand: checks what a domain promises, whether the current period can deliver it, what current transits trigger, and fine timing — then scores confidence. The overview is free; a full forensic reading for one life domain costs 20 credits and covers that domain only.

Before you start

You need a saved chart with planetary positions calculated. The free overview needs only that the chart is yours or marked public; the paid Forensic Reading needs you to own the chart.

Step 1 — Open the free overview

Open a saved chart. In the sidebar, expand Prediction Engine and click Prediction Overview. This page is entirely free, badged Free overview, and defaults to the Career domain if you have not chosen one.

Step 2 — Read the four verdict tiles correctly

Every domain report opens with four numbers. Read them as separate questions, not one score:

Maximum Potential — the ceiling this chart can reach in this domain. Not comparable between domains — each is scored on its own scale of houses and karakas, so a higher ceiling in one domain than another does not mean that domain is stronger.
Right Now — how much of that ceiling the current period is actually delivering.
Forecast Accuracy — how much the different analysis levels agree with each other. This is not a probability the event happens.
Secondary Check — a KP sub-lord cross-check on the same question.

Clicking Forensic Reading (marked PRO in the sidebar) does not charge you. It opens Bala Krama — the twelve domains, a free menu ranking all twelve life domains by their ceiling. Only opening one specific domain's full reading spends credits.

The ranking on this menu is a reading order, not a league table — for the same reason the ceiling numbers are not comparable across domains.

Step 4 — Unlock one domain

Click a domain card. If not yet unlocked, it shows its price — typically 20 credits. Each domain is a separate purchase: paying for Career does not unlock Health, because they are genuinely different analyses over different houses.

Unlocking is tied to the chart's birth data. Editing birth details after unlocking invalidates the unlock and any saved reading for every domain, not just one.

Step 5 — Read the four levels in order

A full forensic reading is four levels plus a confidence synthesis:

Level 1 · Static Promise — house and house-lord strength, dignity, Shadbala, bindus.
Level 2 · Dynamic Timing — whether the running dasha lords support the promise.
Level 3 · Transit Trigger — where slow planets stand against the chart right now.
Level 4 · Micro-Timing (Kakshya) — fine-grained timing within the current period.

The reading deliberately narrates the present position only. It does not list future event windows as confident predictions — ranked windows can occur by chance, so the engine excludes them from the narrative rather than dressing them up.

The written narrative can take up to two minutes to generate after unlocking. The page will render complete before the prose arrives — that is expected, not a stall.

Common mistakes

Comparing Maximum Potential across two domains. Each domain is scored on its own scale.
Reading Forecast Accuracy as a chance of the event happening. It measures agreement between analysis levels, not a prediction probability.
Expecting Career if you meant a different domain. An invalid domain silently falls back to Career with no warning.
Editing birth details after buying a reading. This clears every domain's unlock and saved reading, not just one.

If something goes wrong

Every tile reads 0%. The chart has no planetary data, or the engine failed silently. Recalculate the chart, then reopen the page.
Prediction Engine is missing from the sidebar. The module is not active for your account.
You can view a shared chart's overview but not its Forensic Reading. By design — the paid reading is limited to the chart's owner, the free overview is not.
The narrative never appears. Generation can take up to two minutes; wait before assuming it failed.
