Prashna answers a specific question by casting a chart for the exact moment you ask it — a genuinely different method from KP's fixed 1-249 horary system. It costs 5 credits per question, charged every time, not once per chart.
Before you start — every question is a fresh charge
Unlike almost every other paid feature on the site, Prashna has no one-time unlock. Each question you ask costs 5 credits, every single time, the same way a consultation call is billed per call. This applies to astrologer accounts too, not just normal users.
Step 1 — Open Prashna
In the sidebar, under Horary (Prashna), choose one of three methods: Ask Now (Time & Place) casts for this exact moment; Pick a Number lets you set the Ascendant using a KP-style 1-249 number or a 1-108 nakshatra-pada number; Arudha / Direction lets you pick a sign directly.
Step 2 — Know Ask Now cannot be back-dated
Ask Now always uses the current moment when you submit — there is no date or time field to change it. If you need a chart for a past moment, use Pick a Number or Arudha instead, or ask the question again right now.
Step 3 — Read the full answer, not just the verdict
The result gives more than a yes or no: a Success likelihood percentage, a Favorable Yes/No verdict, a sincerity assessment of the question itself, a Why explanation citing the actual planets involved, and a separate Timing estimate stating roughly when the matter resolves. Treat the timing estimate as a distinct answer, not a footnote to the yes/no.
Location matters
The chart is cast for your detected location. If your browser blocks location access, it silently falls back to Delhi — check the location status line before trusting the result for a question sensitive to place.
Common mistakes
- Expecting to unlock Prashna once and ask freely afterward. Every question costs credits again.
- Trying to back-date a question using Ask Now. It always uses the current moment; use Pick a Number or Arudha instead.
- Ignoring a fallback-location warning. A Delhi default when you're elsewhere can shift the chart meaningfully for place-sensitive questions.
If something goes wrong
- An error appears where the answer should be. Your credits are automatically refunded when the calculation itself fails — check your balance if unsure.
- "Please select a sign (direction)." Required before the Arudha method will charge or calculate.
- Insufficient credits. Top up before asking; the price is per question, not per chart.
