Lal Kitab is a distinct astrological system with its own house-and-debt (rin) logic and characteristically literal, physical remedies. It costs 10 credits.
Before you start — a different system, not a variant
Lal Kitab does not read like the rest of the site. Its house meanings, planetary debts, and remedy style come from its own tradition, separate from mainstream Parashari astrology. Do not expect the same house-lord logic used elsewhere in the app to carry over here.
Step 1 — Open Lal Kitab
Open a saved chart. In the sidebar, expand Lal Kitab and click LK Analysis & Predictions. A separate Varshphal (Annual Chart) page sits in the same group for year-by-year readings.
Step 2 — Read the karmic debts (rin)
Lal Kitab's core diagnostic is identifying which house-based debts are active in the chart. Each debt names its own remedy — and Lal Kitab remedies are notably literal: specific items to donate, specific colours to avoid, specific everyday actions, rather than mantras or gemstones alone. Follow the remedy exactly as listed; substituting a similar-seeming item is not how this system is meant to work.
Step 3 — Know Lal Kitab timing runs on its own cycle
Lal Kitab uses its own roughly 35-year dasha cycle, separate from the Vimshottari dasha used on the chart's main Dasha page. Do not cross-reference the two systems' periods as if they were the same clock.
Common mistakes
- Applying Parashari house-lord logic to a Lal Kitab reading. The two systems don't share the same rules.
- Substituting a remedy item for something "similar." Lal Kitab remedies are meant to be followed literally.
- Comparing Lal Kitab dasha periods against the Vimshottari dasha page. They are different clocks.
- Editing birth details after unlocking. Invalidates the unlock like every other paid module.
If something goes wrong
- A raw technical error message appears. Note the exact text and contact support; recalculating the chart first can resolve it.
- "Insufficient Credits." Top up before unlocking.
