How to Use Palmistry (Hastarekha)
Hastarekha reads both palms from photos taken in the app: mounts, lines, marks and fingers, then a Samudrika Shastra reading, optionally cross-checked against a birth chart.
This is a mobile app feature
The website link only opens a short landing page. The palm scan itself — taking photos of both hands and reading the result — happens in the Rajvidya Astro mobile app, not on the website. Nothing on the website will let you upload a photo for this feature.
1Reach the feature
On the website, Hastarekha needs no chart and is linked from the sidebar and the home page as Palmistry (Hastarekha). Both point to a short page telling you to continue in the mobile app.
Open the Rajvidya Astro app and start a palm scan there.
2Know the three separate charges
Hastarekha is billed in three independent steps, not one:
- Palm Scan & Reading — 10 credits. Covers the AI vision scan of both palms and gives you a free basic Samudrika reading. Charged once per upload.
- Full Palmistry Report — 40 credits. Unlocks every detected finding — every mount, line, mark and finger — in full detail with remedies.
- Palm + Kundli Combined Report — 60 credits. Cross-references the palm findings against a selected birth chart. Requires a saved chart.
A client who wants the full detailed reading pays the scan fee first, then the report fee — 50 credits total, not 40.
3The scan fee refunds itself on failure
If the AI vision scan or the reading cannot be produced from the photos — poor lighting, a blurred hand, an unreadable angle — the 10-credit scan fee is automatically refunded. You do not need to contact support for a failed scan; check your credit balance again after a failure before assuming you were charged.
4Select a chart before buying the combined report
The Palm + Kundli Combined Report will not work without a saved birth chart selected first. If a client has not had their chart made yet, create that before attempting this report.
Common mistakes
- Looking for Hastarekha on the website. The scan only happens in the mobile app.
- Expecting the Full Report for the 10-credit scan fee. The scan buys only the basic reading; full detail is a separate 40-credit unlock.
- Buying the Combined Report with no chart selected. It requires one.
- Assuming a failed scan cost you credits. It is refunded automatically.
If something goes wrong
- The scan failed and credits look wrong. Check your balance again — failed scans are refunded automatically, sometimes with a short delay.
- Combined Report option is missing. Select a saved chart first; this report needs one.
- Photos keep failing. Use even lighting and hold the palm flat and fully in frame; shadows across the lines are the most common cause of a failed read.
