Data & privacy
What we store, what we do not, and how this sits under the DPDP Act.
Birth date, time and place are personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you send us your users' birth details, you are the data fiduciary and we are your processor. Both of us have obligations.
What we store
- Birth records you explicitly create through
/api/v1/charts/, so that later calls can refer to them. - Request metadata for billing: path, scope, status code, latency, credits. This is how invoices are reconciled and disputes settled.
What we do not store
- We do not retain birth details passed inline to a stateless calculation beyond the life of that request.
- We do not use your users' data to train models.
- We do not share it with anyone, and we do not sell it.
Tenant isolation
Every tenant's records sit under a separate internal account. One tenant's key cannot read another tenant's charts.
Deletion
Ask and we delete a specific record, or everything for your account, and confirm in writing. Billing metadata is kept as long as tax law requires, because we are obliged to be able to substantiate an invoice.
Data processing agreement
We will sign a DPA before you go live. Ask for it early โ routing it through your legal team is usually the slowest step in going live, and it costs nothing to start.
